Portrait, a la Hockney

I really don’t like showing my face or taking portrait photos.

I saw an instagram reel about David Hockney and his famous joiner photographs and got the idea that I could have a “joiner portrait” acting as the home page photo for my website. That way, I don’t need to put a huge face on the front page while having something that resembles me. I’m terrified of coming across as self-absorbed…

Photos were taken in my bedroom on a leica dlux8, with me moving and looking around, using the fotos app on my phone to remotely shoot. I don’t think it’s the best attempt but at least I’m semi-satisfied with it.

The background color (#E6B84A) was taken from the Tally Ho joker cards. Idk, I just like this shade of yellow.

This idea was on my todo list for at least half a month. September somehow zoomed by since the semester started and I managed to go to uni daily for two weeks straight, quite the record and quite a burnout. It was my first weekend at home, so I decided not to work on anything important, and this is what came out of it.
